FAQs
How are these different to regular strip lashes?
LASHD are designed on a clear lightweight almost invisible band, making them much lighter than a regular strip lash, they are then cut into segments and are placed under the lash line as opposed to on top of the lash line.
What are they made from?
LASHD eyelashes are cruelty-free and suitable for vegans. Our eyelashes are made from premium Korean PBT silk and no animal products are used in the manufacturing, all our products are cruelty free and handmade.
Can i wear with contact lenses and/or glasses?
Yes!
How do i apply?
We have created a 'how to' video you can watch to learn the 4 easy steps to apply.
Is the glue the same as salon lash glue?
LASHD glue is not as strong as professional eyelash glue, our glue does not contain the harsh chemicals used for professional lash extensions. The glue remains flexible which allows the natural lashes underneath movement. As your natural lashes grow at different speeds, our lash glue allows your natural lash to continue your cycle and cause no damage.
Are these the same as party/cluster lashes in the salon?
Cluster or party lashes are applied using a professional lash extension glue, where segments or clusters of lashes are applied to your natural lashes with no isolation, causing the natural lashes to clump together and the glue to set hard, which means your natural lashes are not able to continue to grow at their own lash cycle speeds. This is what causes damage to your eyelashes. LASHD extensions are applied with a flexible glue which allows your eyelashes underneath to grow and finish their lash cycle causing no harm or damage but providing you with that salon look.
Should i patch test before use?
Yes, it is always recommended to patch test before using a new product on your body. Like any adhesive, its's very important to perform a patch test before application. Whilst we do take every precaution to ensure our products are non-toxic & suitable for sensitive eyes, you should always do a patch test.
How do i patch test?
Apply a small amount of bond behind your ear (lower section) & wait 24 hours to see if any irritation occurs.
If irritation occurs, rinse the area immediately with warm water for a few minutes, discontinue use of the product straight away. If irritation persists please seek medical advice.
What happens if i have a reaction to the product?
LASHD disclaims any liability for skin reactions, we recommend to patch test each product before usage.
I find it difficult to apply strip lashes, will these be more difficult to apply?
LASHD products were designed to be easy to apply. Whether you are a lash pro or have no experience at all, following our step by step guide, everyone should find our product simple and easy to apply.
Will these hurt my eyes?
No. Ensuring your LASHD lashes do not touch your waterline is ESSENTIAL, if LASHD are placed too close to your water line, it will cause discomfort and irritation. Don’t worry if this happens, just gently remove and reapply.
What should i do if one comes loose, or falls out?
Don’t panic! Simply re-apply the bond onto the lash segment or your natural lash and then re-apply the lash segment. Add your seal and pinch together.
I am having trouble applying, they wont stick?
The bond is a sticky glue that will remain tacky until the seal has been applied, if your struggling to get the lashes to stick make sure you have no bond residue on the tweezer as they will get stuck to the tweezer and not your lashes.
Can i wear these if i have short lashes?
Of course, you only need enough lashes to apply the glue.
How do i remove the lashes?
Using our remover and following our step by step guide, simply brush away and remove at any time.
Can i wash my face?
To get a longer wear from your LASHD lashes, we recommend washing around your eyes carefully as you would with salon lashes and gently washing. It important to avoid getting them wet for the first 24hrs after application. Although our glue is water resistant, they will stay on for longer if you don’t soak them, you can give your natural lashes a good wash on removal day.
Are the lashes reusable?
Depending on the condition of your LASHD pair when you remove, you can wash and reuse your lashes. You will need to make sure the segments have been thoroughly washed and there is no remover oil residue on the segments or they will not re-stick. Be gentle with the segments when cleaning as the bands are delicate, excessive washing may break or re-shape. LASHD do not offer any guarantee that you can reuse your lashes.
Why have some of my natural lashes come out when i removed?
Natural lashes shed daily! Lashes have a life cycle of 60-90 days, so do not be alarmed if you see your natural lashes when removing your LASHD pair.
How do i get my lashes to last longer?
If you are a first-timer, you will get more confident with placing the lashes with practice. Visit our 'How to' page for detailed video tutorials.
Top Tips!
- Double bond - apply bond to the base of your lash line and to the spine of the lash segment.
- Double seal - apply sealant to the base of your lashes, then rub along the tweezer plates and clamp onto lashes
- Apply your lashes in the morning rather than the evenings.
- Avoid water and getting the lashes wet for 24hours after application.
- Avoid excessive heat for the first 24hours.
- Avoid touching the lashes, natural oils can transfer onto the lashes
- Avoid sleeping on your face. If you do sleep on your face, lashes may not last as long and you may need to reapply end lash segments, do this by applying more bond, seal and repeat
application steps. - Avoid any oily products around eye area
